First Flowers at Saddle Rock

During a walk in the Saddle Rock area on Sunday, March 7, we saw our first wildflowers of the season. The sage buttercups were out in good numbers. We also saw one bluebell and a yellow bell. Learn more about our local flowers.

Indecision Revisited

Colchuck - North Buttress Couloir

John Plotz is two for two on Colchuck Peak. Two weeks ago he skied the NE Couloir. Now he's knocked off the North Buttress Couloir -- a ski route he describes as one of the classics of the Leavenworth Alps.

Sage Hills - Still Closed

Although spring seems to have arrived early, that does not mean the winter closure of the Sage Hills trails has ended early. The trails on the PUD property and the Land Trust properties are closed until April 1.

Colchuck Peak - NE Couloir
